Check Mark 11: Go to the Orange Bowl

This one is kind of two fold.  First, I got to go to the Orange Bowl.  Second, I got to surprise someone with what you would have thought was a trip of a lifetime, and his face was just priceless.  So I guess I can check truly surprise someone off of my bucket list too!

It was in 2008 that I started dating my (now) husband who graduated from UC.  I thought it would be nice to surprise him with tickets to the Orange Bowl for his birthday since this was the first time UC was in the Orange Bowl.  A few short weeks later, we boarded the plane for Miami for a little mini vacation and the Orange Bowl.

Miami was of course beautiful and a lot of fun, but the atmosphere at the game was like nothing else.  We were surprised to see such a big turnout of UC fans which made the game even more fun.  Even though our team lost, it was still a memorable experience that I can now check off my bucket list!
