Check Mark 16: See One of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World

For some reason, I have an unrealized love of bridges.  I'm not sure why, but my husband recently pointed out to me that I'm always taking pictures of bridges whenever I see them.  I guess that "love" paid off when we went to San Francisco in 2009. 

Of course the Golden Gate Bridge is big and beautiful and very photogenic, but little did I know I was in the presence of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.  We rented bikes one morning and took off from Fisherman's Wharf over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito.  Some of the most exquisite views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge are seen on this bike route!

The below pictures were taken from atop a hill on our way to Sausalito and from Alcatraz.  These were only two of the many places for incredible photo ops!
